Last night Matt Cooper hosted Sport, Addiction and Recovery; Shared experiences at Wood Quay Venue. Over 60 people attended and took part in an interactive discussion with our panel about the pressures of competing at sport at the highest level and what challenges that brings both during a playing career and when it ends.
Our panel included Olympic boxer and Councillor Kenneth Egan, former Offaly senior football star Niall McNamee, Dr Ella McCabe clinical psychologist with Rugby Players Ireland, Cork camogie All-Star and life coach Anna Geary and former All-Ireland winning manager with Tipperary Liam Sheedy.
