Relapse Prevention Programme

Whilst treatment at Rutland Centre is generally very successful, staying sober or ‘clean’ is not easy and requires consistent commitment. It is important that you attend your Continuing Care meetings and meetings with other relevant fellowships including Alcoholics Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and/or Eating Disorders Anonymous/Overeaters Anonymous. It means practicing the disciplines of recovery one day at a time, and being vigilant and mindful of internal and external triggers towards a relapse.

Before you complete treatment, we offer a Relapse Prevention programme that continues when you leave the programme. However if relapse happens always remember support is available. We run a Re-Enrty Programme which includes a weekly group meeting and individual support. This programme focuses on identifying and recognising the factors leading to relapse, coping with relapse, and achieving abstinence and recovery more quickly.
