We know that our clients have a more successful recovery if they stay in contact with us. We have developed a Continuing Care Programme which runs for the first year of recovery, and beyond if required. The programme is designed to promote continuous recovery, through sharing, support and learning recovery techniques.
Our Continuing Care Programme is available to everyone who completes both residential treatment and the general outpatient programme. It involves attending a support group session every week. At this meeting you will be encouraged to discuss your recovery and share the issues and problems that arise. We strongly encourage family members to become involved in the Continuing Care Programme. Everyone in a family is effected by addiction and can benefit from help and support through recovery.
Our groups meet in the evening for approximately 2 hours per session. Most of our groups meet in the Dublin area, but we also have groups in Ardee, Ballinasloe and Sligo. Each group is run by two facilitators who are trained and supervised by the Rutland Centre. Many of our facilitators are in recovery themselves and as so can bring the richness of their experience to their work with the group.
